BMO Returns to Help Build Homes!!

BMO Builders Return to the Sunshine Coast to Build Homes

Sunshine Coast, BC  – Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast (HFHSC) has now completed 8 family homes in its Sunshine Coast Village and we are building another two.  On July 20, 2017 volunteers from BMO from the Lower Mainland and all over the Sunshine Coast will be volunteering their time to build a fence for the village and to help with the framing of the two new units.

“Annually BMO supports team members getting out of their offices/branches  and making a difference in  their communities” says Carol Carr-Andersson, team leader for BMO.

“It is wonderful that we can chose where we want to spend our time helping others and for me

it has always been Habitat for Humanity Sunshine Coast.  I am able to invite my peers to come and join me for a fun filled day of hard work and giving back. I often hear this is the most meaningful volunteer work that I  have ever done and I hope  that I can come back next year to help on the next homes”

“We are looking forward to the completion of these Habitat for Humanity homes which not only provide these families with a place to call home, but also enable them to acquire assets and break the cycle of poverty.” Says Laurie Vance, Chair HFHSC.  “As such, these homes are not just an investment in these families, but an investment in a stronger economy and better standard of living for all Canadians.”
